The sides of the tunnel are haunted by ghosts that will pop out and attack you. Go in and deal with the ghosts coming out of the walls, get the item (Avelyn) then proceed across to the tunnel. Instead of heading into the tunnel, head to the wall opposite of it and interact with it near the middle to find a hidden door. Enter the next room and prepare to be invaded by a Nameless Usurper. Climb the ladder, deal with the mage ( Dark Quartz Ring +2) then open the chest and jump down. Proceed to the other side of the room to find a door and a ladder. These guys can do heavy magic damage, so smash the statues to stop them spawning. The large statues will also spawn ghostly fencers when you approach them. Undead will slowly crawl from the ground in this rock filled room. Climb down another ladder and you're in the bonfire room. Now head inside and open the chest, then climb the ladder and grab the next treasure. This will bring light to the entire area beside you. Before moving inside, follow the steps down and light the little statue in front of you. Rather than step into the fog door, step slowly off the edge to the left of the door. Now jump down and proceed across the bridge. Deal with the enemies, cross the path then climb the long ladder to reach a chest. Turn left and walk slowly off the ledge to reach a secret area. After dealing with them, but before crossing the bridge, go back to the tunnel you came out of. Try to lure them out, and to the tunnel, somewhere safe where you aren't likely to fall off. Step outside to find some stairs, and two golden knights at the top. Should you light a torch, then his group will assault you in a most brutal fashion. He can be spoken to and sells useful items. Follow his rules, as this is the warden of the crypt. Its best to deal with them from range as they will use poison and Firestorm up close.īeyond this room, you will hear someone speak to you. You can run past or deal with them, although that can be tricky for melee characters. The next room has very dangerous mages in it, casting dark magic from range. He won't hurt you - he'll follow you and you might find the torchlight helpful to see through the dark area ahead. Proceed up the stairs and notice the guy with a torch - killing him is optional. On the opposite side is a corpse with an item you can grab.
